Case Studies

The purpose behind the work.

The back story. These case studies provide insight into the client, their need and how we conquered their goal.

Proxess Proxess Mortise lock

The Client

Proxess is start-up company with a vision to revolutionize the Access Control Door industry. Traditional access control doors require expensive parts and costly labor hours to manage a facility. Proxess alleviates these challenges with wireless, intelligent locking hardware.

The need

Proxess approached DATA as their IoT development partner. Initially DATA was charged with the planning, architecture, design, and development of the Access Control System (ACS) software solution. Eventually, DATA’s involvement grew to encompass all aspects of Proxess’ development including firmware, hardware, mobile applications, business analysis, and technical support.

Air Force Center of Excellence For Medical Multimedia An Air Force jet in black and white.

The Client

The Air Force Center of Excellence for Medical Multimedia provides patient education and resilience training for military members and their families.

The need

After decades of developing fixed media and topic-related websites to deliver their robust educational programs, presentations, public service announcements and training programs, the CEMM was in need of a solution to coalesce and organize their resources to reach their vast audience.

The solution

DATA created an inventory of their assets and determined the project infrastructure needs. The recommendation was a video-centric platform reminiscent of YouTube or Netflix. The content strategy, while still centered around subject matter, allowed direct access to related topics previously difficult to promote under their program-specific website structure. It also allowed for improved 508 compliance and accessibility. In order to support the new, more tightly integrated presentation of websites and mobile applications, DATA also re-engineered the CEMM’s hosting environment, building the new solution and migrating existing sites and applications to the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud. This migration enhanced security and streamlined the maintenance of the CEMM’s vast array of web properties by centralizing them into a single platform.
